The ATS-friendly and Minimal templates do not show a photo, so online systems read your CV without problems.

The job you have or want, as employers would write it.
Use a simple, professional address, ideally your name.

0 words (aim for 40–80)

Most recent job first. Start each line with an action verb (led, built, cut, trained) and add numbers: "increased sales by 20%".

Step by step

How to use

01

Pick a template. Use "ATS-friendly" for online applications; choose "Classic with photo" if the employer expects a photo.

02

Fill in your details, or tap "Fill with an example" first to see how a strong CV reads, then replace it with your own.

03

Add your work experience with one achievement per line. Start each line with an action verb and add numbers where you can.

04

Add education, skills and languages. Move sections up or down, hide the ones you do not need, or add your own section.

05

Choose the CV language (English, Somali or Arabic), a colour and a font. Open "Customise this template" to change the photo shape, headings, skill bars or stars, sidebar colour and spacing. Your text stays the same when you switch templates.

06

Download the PDF or print it. Keep one CV per type of job: duplicate it under "My CVs" and adjust it for each application.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an ATS-friendly CV, and should I use a photo?
Many companies and NGOs read online applications with software called an ATS (applicant tracking system). It reads plain, single-column text best: no tables, icons or photo. Use the ATS-friendly template when you apply online or by email to larger organisations. For local jobs where employers expect a photo, the Classic template with a photo is common in Somalia and East Africa.
How long should my CV be?
One page if you have less than about 5 years of experience, two pages for most experienced people. Three pages only for senior or academic roles. Keep the most recent and most relevant jobs, and cut old or unrelated ones to one line.
What should I write if I have no work experience?
Start with a short summary of what you can do and the job you want. Put education first, then projects, volunteer work, internships and courses: anything where you used skills such as Excel, teaching, customer service or organising events. Add your languages; Somali, English and Arabic together are a real strength.
Can I make my CV in Somali or Arabic?
Yes. Choose the CV language under Design: the headings are written in English, Somali or Arabic, and Arabic CVs read right to left. The language of this page is separate, so you can use the tool in Somali and make an English CV.
Is the PDF text real text that employers can copy?
Yes. The PDF contains real, selectable text with the fonts built in, not a picture. Recruiters and ATS software can search it and copy it, and it prints sharply on A4 or US Letter paper.
Where is my CV saved, and how do I move it to another phone?
Only on this device, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded: not your details, not your photo. To move your CVs, tap "Save all as a file" and open that file on the new phone with "Open a CV file". "Clear all my data" deletes everything from this device.
