Frequently asked questions
Are these QR codes free, and do they expire?
Yes, they are free and they never expire. The information is written into the code itself, so there is no link through our server that can stop working. You can print it on menus, shop signs, business cards and flyers for as long as you like.
Can I change the link after I print the QR code?
No. These are static QR codes: the link or text is inside the code, so a new link needs a new code. That is also why they are private and never stop working. If you often change the link, point the code at a page on your own website that you can update.
How does the Wi-Fi QR code work?
Guests point their phone camera at the code and tap to join your Wi-Fi, without typing the password. It works on iPhone and on Android. The network name and password stay on your device while you make the code; they are not sent anywhere.
Why does my QR code not scan?
Most often the colours: the code must be darker than its background, with strong contrast. Light orange on white, or a light code on a dark background, fails on many phones. Also leave the white border around the code, print it at least 2 cm wide, and keep long text short, because more data means smaller dots.
PNG or SVG: which should I download?
PNG is a normal picture: use it for WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and documents. Choose 1024 px or more for printing on paper. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a banner; send it to your printer or designer.
Is my information safe?
Yes. The QR code is made in your browser. Your links, Wi-Fi passwords, phone numbers and logo are never uploaded, saved or logged, and the tool keeps working with the internet off once the page has loaded.
